 Precursor founder Alex Narvey will be attending the Apple Consultants Network Advanced Camp 2015 at the Q Center outside Chicago in St. Charles, Illinois from March 30 to April 2. Over 100 Apple IT Professionals will gather to learn the latest in OS X’s Server.app, Mobile Device deployment and management strategies, and for the first time, the ACN camp is hosting a business strategy track as well. Content from will be from both Apple and key third-party developers and technology providers.

 Microsoft has been busy! Office is now available free of charge for iOS including iPhone and iPad and that includes a version of Outlook. The iOS Office suite can even work with files stored in your DropBox account, Microsoft OneDrive, Google Drive, and even Apple's iCloud Drive. I guess Microsoft is thinking "If you can't beat 'em; join 'em."But that is not all. Microsoft has introduced a public beta of Office 2016 for Mac - which is due later this year - and has announced that support for Office 2011 for Mac will end in January, 2016. Microsoft is transitioning to subscription licensing (Office 365) just like Adobe has its Creative Cloud licenses so the way to get the new Office 2016 will be through an Office 365 subscription. Precursor will be assisting customers to transition to this subscription licensing so that they can maintain supported software from Microsoft.
