 It's not often an Apple announcement day (see below) is overshadowed by security concerns but yesterday Apple announced that it had provided security patches to all macOS, iOS and iPadOS operating systems to deal with a security exploit that researchers at Toronto's Citizen say points to the Israeli spyware firm NSO Group being able to infect Apple products with a zero click exploit.
We strongly recommend that users run the software update feature on their iPhones, iPads and Macs. Since this can take 10-20 minutes and involves a restart some users might wish to wait until the end of the work day.

 Apple Watch Series 7 is bigger (even though it is compatible with all existing bands), more durable, charges faster and supports the new features of watchOS 8. The new design features a reengineered Always-On Retina display with significantly more screen area and thinner borders. It is the first Apple Watch to have an IP6X certification for resistance to dust, and maintains a WR50 water resistance rating.
